Rebuilding Nonprofits after the Pandemic
Nonprofits are the heart of our communities. The nonprofit sector faced significant challenges during the pandemic. During the pandemic we saw non-profits struggling to survive. The donations and funding dried up quickly especially for the ones that relied on elaborate annual galas or in-person events.
At Impactika, we work with nonprofits every day. We collaborate deeply with them to help them survive and thrive. As a company dedicated to for-purpose organizations, we helped them adapt and thrive. We know that nonprofit founders and leaders wore several hats and struggled to find time and talent to grow their impact. As external pressures from regulation and uncertainty around funding increased, they struggled to do more with less. They often depend on interns or volunteers but they need reliable support.
This is where we came in as marketing technology, communications and fundraising experts.
We quickly helped with our specialized talent to help non-profits with their marketing and communications. Let us give you an example.
A charitable organization in Washington devoted to food insecurity issues has been raising funds through in-person events since the 1960s.
Like many nonprofits they needed to accept donations online during and after the pandemic. Now that their in-person activities were limited, we needed a secure way to accept funds directly in their bank account.
We set up an online fundraising system that helped them go from $0 to close to $4,000 within a few months. We built a new channel so people can donate online. Their average donation size also increased from $ 5 to $75.
Take another example, we worked with a global nonprofit in the education space- they had to cancel all in person events during 2020 and 2021.
We helped them pivot to virtual experiences to raise event steaming revenues by more than $100,000. This kind of digital transformation cannot be possible with volunteers or interns. It needs years of marketing expertise.
Impactika Consulting delivers tailored marketing services for growing non-profits so they can focus on doing good and generating more funds.
We raise awareness about their social impact, help retain their donors and build new supporters.
We amplify their causes through events, video, and the digital media.
We bring in our tools, we bring in our expertise and work as per their culture. We are a certified minority and women owned independent business.
We provide them with a third party, independent view and a fresh insight that helps them bridge the gaps. We care!
We have found success with non-profits solving issues around:
Technology, AI & Digital Access
Education and Lifelong Learning
Racial, Gender Diversity and Inclusion
Climate Change
Energy and Sustainability
Here are 3 trends that are likely to stay on from the pandemic times:
Digital-First Approach: Nonprofits need to embrace digital tools for communication, engagement, and fundraising. Virtual conferencing platforms, event hosting and chat tools enabled efficient interaction with staff, volunteers, and donors. Now, we are looking to help non-profits with embedding AI and privacy-first initiatives.
Higher Demand for Digital/ Hybrid Alternatives: The National Council of Non-profit reports that as pandemic relief programs end, nonprofits may face increased demands to provide services to those still in need. Nonprofits should plan carefully for successful fundraising.
Talent Outreach and Community Engagement: While rooted in local communities, nonprofits need to keep driving engagement through digital technology to raise awareness.
We want to help more non-profits by being their trusted marketing partners. If you know a non-profit that needs help in these areas, please contact the CEO of Impactika, Yavnika Khanna.
